Some folks have a romantic idea of missionary life. In their minds it's all headdresses, camel rides, and jungle treks. Those things may be a small part of what happens when people engage cross-culturally. The really important stuff, however, is much less glamorous; much more mundane.
Case in point: Below is a video extract of me discipling a pastor in Kenya. We meet once a week for 1-2 hours via Skype. Today we started a study of the book of Galatians. Just watch. It's boring (and short). But, this mundane stuff changes the world. When the gospel is fully apprehended and treasured by Kenyans, Kenya will change.
We train the harvest fields so that the gospel will continue to take root in these areas. We also know that by training the harvest fields, we are preparing the way for a great missionary force that will impact the sowing fields.
